O Ramos always knew he was meant to be a songwriter. “When I was a kid, I was always inventing songs. I became the worship leader at my father’s church at a very young age. Somewhere along the way, it just became obvious to me that I would keep writing music my whole life.”
Despite becoming a licensed minister at the age of 16, he still thinks of himself as a working musician. “I have to write concerning issues people are facing these days. Issues that no one else is addressing in the church,” he says. “Otherwise, I worry I’m being lazy with God’s gift and that makes me anxious.” That impressive work ethic has led to the beginning of this project.
Will he ever leave Florida? “No, never. If I left, I would not feel at home. I love the people I’ve met in my travels, but nothing compares to Florida.”
